Week 4-part2

MY LAST WEEK
So my internship fell through if you haven't heard, that is the reason I am going back a month early, but hey I've been here for a month!!! So let the documenting finish.
I draw weird drunk... it's supposed to be feathers in her hair, not gigantic flakes of dandruff. don judge i aint a 2-D artist!

Eating flaming hot Cheetos at 3 in the morning.
Levi was the stage manager of his Dance studio’s production Into the Wild Woods, which was amazing. He spotted me tickets cuz he heard I was bored out of my mind vegitating in Waimanalo. THEN I MEET ANDY. FROM PROJECT RUNWAY. Omgz.
I. DIE.
Us and his friends at zippy’s. Zippy’s is as if IHOP had a baby with KFC. Yea… it is "wonderful".

On a side note, 7-11 ALSO HAS BANGING BREAKFAST PLATTERS
PORTUGUESE SAUSAGE, CHEESE, AND RICE. I DIE. Plus ketchup because I’m Ghetto.

 THE POLYNESIAN CULTURE CENTER!
The PCC educates the public of the major Polynesian cultures; Hawaii, Tonga, Samoa, Tahiti, Fiji, Aotearoa (or New Zealand)

What a slut

Ema and Louena being cute

Stoic picture for me, hunger for Ema
If a local puts it on their left ear, it means that your single and looking for someone, if on the right it means you’re taken. What’s sad is I knew that better than these girls, cuz I was really confused because they had it backwards…disaster avoided. You’re supposed to put flowers on your ear, I put them in my nose: forever alone

This is Louena, She tries so hard to be attractive. JK GURL I LOVE U, just not your "shots"...

Like a Disney Cruise but not… you just learn about big people AHHAHA (you know I love my Polynesians)

Anne BLOCKING THE VIEW, jk

Who wears denim on top and bottom? This d bag rite here.

LAMO, Ana being creepy.

Nuts in da face

Each culture had a “village” with its own show that showed each culture’s dance, beliefs, and singing. This is Aotearoa, the native culture of New Zealand.

Like Jurassic Park, but the dinosaurs put on shows and sing for you

He guards it all day long, might as well have fun with it.

A Fijian boat.

Us bugging him again.  From left to right: Back row; FUSI all by her lonely self, Middle: Ketchup shirt, Ema, Ana, Anne, Bottom: Offa (the one who got us 50% our 60$ tickets!) and Kolo droppin it like it’s hot.

Getting ready for the boat show
Fijian Tattoos
The boat show! Each culture comes out and dances while the narrator explains their garbs and how the islands cultures came to be.

Hawaiian Royal Court comes out to greet us.

Aotearoa doing some crazy cool poi.

Samoa having fun, as part of their boat show the kick their rower off. Must be nice to be him it was boiling hot that day.

Fiji doing their wooden axe like thing dance

Hawaii dancing, island maracas

TONGA!

Tahiti. Seriously if you have the time youtube Tahitian dancing, they can move their hips like none other.

This is the tree that Elivis sings on in Blue Hawaii, its actually one tree it starts on the right bank, swings down out of the picture and comes back from the left to leaf at the middle again.

I learn how to make a coconut leaf fish!

Me and couple friends go eat at Dukes, and tried the moonfish which was amazing (and expensive) and seeing as we were the only men at the table man enough to finish the hula pie (Icecream bigness with whipped cream rose and oreo bottom) we had to do our duties.

DIABETUS
Across from Ala Moana Beach, is Magic Island. We get lunch and walk on the beach. How freaking beautiful.
Magic Island for my last day at the beach.

And in which I ruin everything :D (haha-insidejoke FAIL )
At Honolulu Int Airport, BYE HAWAII

The good Lord always provides lol, this is my lovely mother in her adorable night gown with melonas cuz she knows they're my favorite. Sigh the little comforts from Hawaii I can still have right?
Well this brings me to the end of my trip, I made some beautiful friends and new family (and culture lmao THE KAVA). whew. Back to suburbia.

Week 4-part1

Kailua Beach.
So when I wake up in the morning sometimes the family would make one of my favorite things here, PORTUGUESE SAUSAGE.
Look at the delicious phallus
Lol this is my adorable neighbor, Brenda. She hated me for 3 weeks and would stare at me for 15 straight minutes before deciding to cry in fear. Now she smiles at me, a week b4 I leave, what progress.

So back to the header’s subject, it was someone’s birthday and the family was invited to their birthday bbq at Kailua beach (OBAMA) yes that is the only thing I associate with Kailua beach.
Kailua Beach from the parking lot.
There was a Japanese Hula group practicing, and I dutifully documented them.

Look at that view. Look how freaking beautifully clear the water is!

Kailua is still a Windward beach (still opposite to Waikiki, Ala moana etc) but unlike its other windward cousins, it’s a very tame beach. Waimanalo and Bellows have HUGE freaking waves.
This is another friend I made, Channon, we’re bff’s and she already told me she loves me. Lol. Her daddy is an NFL hopefully, so there’s no way I’d break his only baby’s heart. But she gave to so much sass for sumone barely over a foot tall. Polynesians SMDH
Wind swept cow lick
I spyyyy a dark hispanic kid (me).
Heifers aint even swimming. From the left to the right, its Fusi, Ana, our crazy friend Mele (TANKAHOLIC) and our other friend Kolo. Beautiful family right hur.
The sun doesn’t set on Windward side but its still nice

Herp derp collar with white ginger lei.

My friend was staying at the Hilton Hawaiian Village and I got to see the CRAZY view!!!!

At my amazing friend  Pauline’s goodbye party. She’s the CRAZIEST singer, alto all the way yah?

Sorry my camera only works well in sunlight, but this is a bad but only pic of Pauline gettin' her Tongan groove on
Sea Life Park

So we bus it over to Sea Life Park (which is where 50 first dates was filmed) and didn’t pay, we just slipped in ahhaha.

TURTLES!

Penguins!

Huge sting rays

As we depart from Sea Life Park to hike up to the lighthouse.

Well it turns out since we didn’t have a ride we had to break a few rules to get up to the hiking trail by walking about a mile along a narrow cliff highway. Wonderful.

hehehehe
You can see our destination on the very left, that little white speck is the light house! Let’s start walking.
LolHDcamerablurs
We were gon’ dieee
The thing about Hawaii is that they just randomly have STUNNING views just like this anywhere. NBD

Lol Ana being hideous and Hawaiian chanting the sea.

What a beautiful shade of blue.

In Hawaiian if there is a “W” in between two vowels in the middle of a word, its pronounced as a V. So this would be “KaiVi” state scenic shoreline. Even Hawaii itself is pronounced natively as “HaVaii”
We begin our trek.

Patrick Star

Wonderful Side view of the mountains across the trail.

If you watch Hawaii Five-0 you’ll recognize this trail as the one Steve jogs on the morning before he gets another mysterious packet on his truck. This is only the trail, in the show they show him only running here but when he reaches the summit they shot that part in Kauai, but the parking lot with his car is still the same.

I am little
I get littler

We tried spelling “LOL”

Oh hello there

Lol I’m home!

Oh I so crazy
So we finally make it to the top. Fun times
TADA

Rabbit Island! The one you see from my Waimanalo beach shots!

We saw rain coming down over the mountains and over the ocean. It was so cool.

Rain on Rabbit Island

 Switching the focus:

I climb things
So that was the hike and the trip. Since my internship didn’t work out I knew that I would only have one week after this one. Sigh.
